Emergency services like hospitals and water services were exempted from the bandh.Traffic on the Ranchi-Jamshedpur, Ranchi-Patna & Kolkata-Delhi highways was brought to a standstill. Train services in some parts of the state were also hit with JMM workers sitting on the tracks. In Jamshedpur, JMM workers burnt tyres and blocked roads.
